TO OUR FAMILY OF PATIENTS AND COMMUNITY
REGARDING CORONAVIRUS AND DENTAL CARE

We Are Available for Your Dental Needs

Cornelia Dental is beginning the gradual process of re-opening for dental treatment as allowed by the executive order of the Governor of Georgia and the Georgia Board of Dentistry. We are continually monitoring the situation in our county and state and will be prioritizing patients with urgent and immediate dental needs in order to best serve our family of patients. We are carefully balancing the need to provide preventive care and treatment with the need to safeguard our patients and dental team. As the American Dental Association has acknowledged,

"The longer dental practices remain closed to preventive care and treatment for early forms of dental disease, the more likely that patients' untreated disease will progress, increasing the complexity and cost for treatment down the road."

We want you to know that we will continue to follow the strictest safety protocols for infection control according to state, ADA and CDC recommendations. During this situation we have heightened our already high safety standards. We will continue to seek out expert guidance and recommendations so that we can be flexible and quickly adopt new protocols, technology, and innovation to best serve our patients.

In order to best protect you and our team members, we ask patients NOT to visit our office if you have ANY signs of flu, coughing, fever, etc. For the safety of our most vulnerable patients, we will be postponing appointments for patients who need to continue to shelter in place as recommended by the CDC.

If you, a friend or family member have a dental emergency, as always, we are here for you. If you are not currently a patient of ours and are unable to reach your family dentist, we will be happy to assist. First and foremost, your health and safety are our primary concern.

All Patients Screened for Prior to Entering Office

When you visit our office for dental care, we will ask you to remain in your car and call or text our office to let us know when you have arrived. We will call or text you when your room is ready. A team member will meet you at our front door and perform a temperature scan. Each patient will be carefully screened prior to entering our office for signs and symptoms of COVID-19 infection. In order to protect the most vulnerable, we request anyone considered to be in the high risk category, whether due to age or an underlying medical condition, to continue to shelter in place and postpone dental treatment. If your temperature reading is higher than 99℉ or you have other signs or symptoms of COVID-19, we will refer you to your primary care physician, the Habersham County Health Department, or Augusta University Health Expresscare Online Screening.
Please preview our screening information prior to your appointment. As always, you can contact one of our team members directly during the day, in the evenings, and on weekends.

Do You Dread Going to the Dentist?

Dr. Ralph Jackson

Meet Dr. Jackson

I really enjoy solving problems, working with my hands and creating and building, and dentistry allows me to do these things for the benefit of my family of patients. I like the challenge of keeping up to date with the changing field of dentistry as new technology allows us to provide even more comfortable and convenient dental care. As a dentist, it is fulfilling to be trained to provide Botox and dermal fillers to not only relieve pain, but also enhance smiles by reducing fine lines and restoring facial volume. Since dental health is directly linked to our overall health, helping people get healthy and stay healthy creates a lot of positive energy in our office, and that makes it a great place to be!

Dentistry allows me to care for patients to create healthy and attractive smiles. I love our philosophy at Cornelia Dental that we let patients know what they need and cheerfully give them what they want. It's up to you as a patient to decide what treatment you choose and what pace you would like to have it done. Using my skills as a dental professional to give comfortable injections, I find it rewarding to be able to use Botox to help relieve headaches and jaw joint pain as well as the unwanted wrinkles associated with these and other conditions. As Invisalign providers, we are even able to create healthy and more attractive smiles with clear braces without going to an orthodontist.

My wife and I are thrilled to be living now in Clarkesville, GA. I believe that every individual has a unique and beautiful smile, and I want to deliver an optimal result in conserving and recreating a healthy smile. Using laser technology allows me to provide even more comfortable dental treatment for our patients. Because I enjoy providing a variety of dental services, including sedation dentistry, implants, surgical extractions (including wisdom teeth removal), and molar endodontics (root canals), we are able to provide our patients with a wide variety of dental services eliminating the need to go to a specialist.
